Currently, ManTech’s Talent Solutions Center is seeking a Military Ambassador/Recruiter for an exciting opportunity in Herndon, VA. The selected individual will be an integral part of our Mission to be an employer of choice for transitioning military members.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Build strategic partnerships with each of the service branches transition programs; Army Partnership for Youth Success, Military Spouse Employment Program, Army Career and Alumni Program, ROTC, Employment Support for the Guard & Reserve, Wounded Warrior Program, Marine For Life and additional as identified

  • Build strategic partnerships with the three major service academies (West Point, Annapolis, Colorado Springs) to partner with the alumni recruiting services and attend their annual joint job fairs

  • Act as corporate liaison between ManTech and Military Partners to nurture and expand our involvement with each and to create partnerships where none exist

  • Attend events such as: Army PaYS bi-annual partner meeting; MSEP bi-annual partner meeting; Partnership forums at various bases; represent ManTech at military career events, career days with soldiers at military transition assistance offices, ACAP job fairs, etc

  • Work with recruiting staff to accurately assess upcoming headcount in the field organizations to target appropriate candidates. Work with businesses/hiring managers to proactively determine staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies

  • Develops Military recruitment strategies for the enterprise

  • Act as POC for exiting military soldiers - Pre-screen, qualify and assess high potential talent while ensuring effective candidate management methods are being used throughout the recruitment process

  • Help the candidates make the move from the military to a civilian career

  • Regular visits to military bases, service academies, attendance at transitioning military job fairs and partnerships with on-base transition centers both CONUS and OCONUS (as needed)

  • Relationships with service academies, and academy alumni on-line forums

  • Work with Sales to determine potential training activities for current / active soldiers (similar to what NetApp is doing with the Army)

  • Establish footprint process with Marines 4 Life to be duplicated with other partners

  • Host career days around the nation (as appropriate)for soldiers to learn about ManTech, job openings, interviewing and resume writing tips, etc

  • Act as POC to military entities and manage existing field recruiting and Military POC relationships in respective regions across the US

  • Construct, track and report out success metrics

  • Position Requirements:



  • Military recruitment experience

  • Deep understanding of the transition issues from military to civilian career

  • Deep understanding of skill translation from military to civilian jobs

  • Deep understanding of how the military entities work from within

  • Familiarity with government contracting (professional services)
  • Job RequirementsRequires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and twelve to fifteen years of progressive Human Resources experience in employment and staffing, including five or more years in a management capacity and supervisory/management experience.
